Hi,

We are new to Dynamics 365 and are looking for some guidance. 

Our accounts team have several open purchase orders on our system where we have had to ‘un-receipt’ the goods delivered as the invoice for these goods had been posted manually and we would have been double counting the costs.

These POs are now sitting on the system as open orders awaiting receipt of goods, is there a way to close off this order?  I know this can be cancelled but this just takes the PO back to Draft status which can then be updated and entered back into workflow.  Essentially, I just want to archive the orders if possible?

Hi vincent,

you can update delivery reminder of purchase line to cancel qty. go to purchase line > update line > delivery reminder. you can cancel the qty from there.
I tried to attach screenshot but it just spins. I hope this helps to get rid of these open orders.

Hi,
Cancelling delivery remainder is available in the Update line button that is above the Purchase order lines.

There is also another option. When you are posting Product receipt, if you are receiving a qty that is less than the qty open on the PO and you do not expect to receive the remainder, you can click the “Close for receipt” button:

This will cancel the remainder that you did not receive.
