Hello Community,

We are running D365 for Finance and Operations on-prem with Update12 (7.0.4709.41184).

Anyone has any idea why there are no data entities provided for importing “Inventory Transfer Journal lines”?

There are entities for “Inventory Adjustment Journal lines” and “Inventory Movment Journal lines” but not for the “Transfer Journal”.

Hi Fabius,

I’m missing this entity also. One reason might be related to having two relations to the InventDim fields. (from Site, warehouse, … and to Site, warehouse, ..)

Hello Fabius,

Confirming as Andre had mentioned, this entity does not exist out of the box. You will need to create a custom entity. If not possible I would suggest using the Microsoft Dynamics Office (Excel) Add-In for journal entries. Quick one off solution but not scalable for mass imports.

As you mentioned we created a new custom data entity to import the journal lines into a inventory transfer journal and it is working :).
