      Hi,

I guess we all know D365 has its own DW database (for Analysis Service) called AXDW. It is populated by Refresh Entity Store (System Administration / Setup / Entity Store)

There will be a list of what they called now is Aggregate Measurement (the old days called Cube for SSAS Multidimensional).Ā

Well, the question is can we include image data, such as Product image which store in EcoResProductImage in that Aggregate Measurement.

      Thanks,

      Hi An,

Interesting question. I have not tried adding any entities that have an image field. It is possible to add new/additional aggregate entities to Entity Store; and might allow an image field to be added. More info on adding aggregate measurements here:

I think your best option is going to be setting up BYOD and exporting your F&O data entities to your own Azure SQL Server db.

This topic explains how administrators can export data entities from Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations into their own Microsoft Azure SQL database. This feature is also known as bring your own database (BYOD). The BYOD feature was released in Microsoft Dynamics AX with platform update 2 (August 2016).

      Hi Mike,

Thanks for your advise, and those links. Well to switch to another method needs a lot of discussion, survey and big decision as it will change the “course” of our entire applications.

Anyhow I do trust your experience on this, Much thanks,

      An
