Hello, has anyone used any 3rd party scheduling software for AX either currently or in the past?Ā  We are going live with D365FO and we are looking at PlanetTogether right now but we want to look at a few other options.Ā  We have found that the standard functionality of the Edit Job List and the Gantt chart doesn’t work for us.Ā  We are a manufacturing company and we produce packaging film roll stock with multiple operations on one production order.Ā  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We are going to use OC6 from OneChain (www.onechain.eu). However, there is no interface to AX/D365FO so far. It needs to be developed by our implementation partner together with OneChain.

Could you describe the limitations you are seeing with the standard product?Ā  I only ask because I usually find the scheduling methods available to be pretty good, albeit require some training to use.Ā  The changes to the Gantt chart from 2012 R3 are really nice too.

We use a product called JAMS. It has an API for Dynamics 2012 R2, so you could check to see if they have updated their API for D365FO. We had a situation where we needed to run several batch jobs from different systems based on several dependencies. The API allows us to run the batch jobs that are created in the Dynamics Application in our JAMS scheduler product.?
