      Hi NAVUG

We pick multiple boxes on one “tote” (package). When shipping this package via Parcel carrier (UPS/FedEx/DHL), with multiple boxes, we need to print more than one FedEx/UPS label. i.e. 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3. All the boxes weight the same, so the table top scale would only hold one box, and prompt the shipping user for how many labels they need to print.

We believe this functionality exists in E-Ship because we have seen it in early set-up/development phases, however was never documented well by our team/ or our VAR partner. Can anybody weigh in on this E-Ship functionality for Parcel carrier labels?Ā

      Thanks for your help, UG!

      Christopher,

There is the //CLP and //CLPP, copy last package and copy last package print.  We’ve used this a bit in the past, it’s pretty easy, you’d pack the first package then use on of these commands, it asks you for how many copies to make.  End result is additional packages with same contents as the first.

To get labels with the running count 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc, use the //TPC command (total package count)Ā  Scan in the order, enter //TPC, it will prompt for the total number of packages, start packing and closing.

To add to Jeane’s comment about using //TPC, if you always know the number of packages at the time you begin using pack line scanning, you can also set the packing stations to always ask for the number of packages once you scan the order number.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I will get into testing with our FedEx setup and make sure that we are getting the desired result with these Pack Line commands.Ā

Thank you all for the help — Crossing fingers for the label results we’re looking for. I will follow up with any open questions and findings.Ā

      Cheers,
      CJM
