You cannot. You must modify the PO quantity to receive more than originally ordered. Some do this by adding a second line to preserve the original order quantity on the first line. I have seen various customizations to handle this somewhat common requirement. You may get some examples from this group.——————————

I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for, and I don’t know if this is due to a mod or not, but In our version of NAV 2015 there is a button on the Home tab of the Item Card called “Vendors”. This takes you to the “Vendor Item Catalog” where you will see a table which allows you to enter over-receive percentages for the item by the supplier.——————————

– this appears to be a customization. We use the Cost Control starter database that allows us to set an over and under percentage. We further customized ?this to prompt us if the quantity received is between the minimum and maximum. This gives the use the ability to say the order is complete. At that time, the quantities are adjusted for the user.

to follow up – so within NAV and BC – is setting an overreceive percentage standard functionality or only via a customization or 3rd party vendor?

I believe this is part of the Cost Control starter database.

The “Over-Receiving” tolerance percentage is for value not quantity.——————————
