      We are using NAV 2018.

The approval user setup is as below:Ā

where User 1 and User 2 have the same Sales amount approval limit and User 3 as an Approver.

User 2 is set-up as a substitute for User 1.

      The workflow is set as:

What we would like to see is:
If the User 1 does not approve request within 1 day (time starts when approval request is generated), it is automatically delegated to User 2.

The Delegation from User 1 to User 2 works when:

      • Original Requester press “Delegate” button on “requests to approve” page
      • User 1 press “Delegate” button

Is it possible to delegate requests from User 1 to user 2 after 1 day automatically?

      All suggestions are much appreciated.

Hello Neighbor!Ā  (Our business is in Chalfont)

I don’t believe that is possible without a modification.Ā  I wonder if PowerAutomate (Flow) could be used to do something like that.

Lewis, are you saying that this particular setup requires modification or that automatic delegation requires the modification?Ā  I haven’t worked much with delegation.Ā  Tetyana I did find this quick blog for NAVĀ https://community.dynamics.com/nav/f/microsoft-dynamics-nav-forum/357142/workflow-delegate-automaticallyĀ maybe Erik will be able to shed some light on the situation.Ā  Please post what you implement.

      Best of luck!

In NAV 2017, I was able to add a Job Queue Entry for report 1511 to automate the delegation process.Ā  We chose to set the reoccurrence frequency to 1440 minutes, or every 24 hours.Ā  Hope this helps!
