??We have some customers that are using Coupa as their e-procurement portal.Ā  Currently they place an order/PO on the portal and send an email with a PDF attachment of the PO.Ā  We then manually enter it into NAV.

They would like to send us the PO via cXML and subsequently we would send them back the invoice back via cXML.Ā

Just curious if others have ‘imported/exported cXML and how you have done it.Ā  We do EDI via True CommerceĀ so we are familiar on how that works.Ā  Ā HoweverĀ with cXMLĀ I’m curious of the connection,Ā how acks/nacks are doneĀ (maybe they are just not done???), and etc.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.Ā Ā

      Bill

      Hi Bill,
Did you get the cXML documents working?
We too are starting to work with Coupa and may have to create cXML documents.
What version NAV are you working with; we are on NAV 2015.
Can your NAV create a cXML and receive a cXML file/document?
      Regards,
      Joe

      Bill and Joe,

You are likely going to need a third party solution.Ā  One of our clients is using PunchOut2Go, and it seems to be working well.Ā  Your partner would be your best resource for finding a workable solution for your environment.

      Joe,

What Ben states is basically what we had to do.Ā  We use True Commerce as our EDI partner.Ā  Unfortunately they can not do cXML.Ā  Ā We enlisted Greenwing (punchout provider) who provides the ‘gateway’ and converts the cXML and sends to True Commerce.Ā Ā

So the flow is; Coupa sends to Greenwing, Greenwing sends to True Commerce, and True Commerce interfaces with NAV to create the Sales Order.Ā  Ā This is currently where we are at.Ā  We are still working with True Commerce on the Invoice.

We are on NAV 2016.Ā Ā

If you have more questions let me know.Ā  Good luck with your solution.

      Hey Bill,

How was your experience with Greenwing? Based on your message it seems good, but if you can give some more information like the total time it took and maybe some costs involved. We’re looking for a similar need, but different eCommerce platforn.

      Thanks!

      Greetings,

      Bill

      Bill,

Greenwing did a good job.Ā  It took a long time however to work out the file between Greenwing and TrueCommerce.Ā  Send me yourĀ  email and I can provide you with more details.

      Thanks
