Dear valuable Community Members – Happy New Year! Your contributions are very much appreciated.Ā

This is happening when Adjust Cost runs on the Job Queue – on occasion.Ā
Also when I run Adjust Cost manually for one Item – After 45-60 min.Ā
We using NAV 2016 with SQL Server version 2016 Service Pack 2.Ā

Has anyone seen this error and what can be done to fix it? Any ideas are welcome.Ā
Logs apparently do not show anything useful according to out infrastructure expert.Ā
Here is the complete text of the error.Ā

A Connection to SQL Server is no longer usable.
This could be caused by one of the following reasons:
The Server has been shut down manually or because of an error.
The SQL Server Connection Settings are not correct.Ā
      A Network failure has occurred.
A hardware failure has occurred on the server or on your computer.

Try to connect again later or contact your system administrator.Ā

      Hi Ayden,

Not sure if you already figured it out or not. I have seen this error in the past. In our case, it was caused by the expiration of the password for the login that runs the adjust cost. Some times it would run as I would restart the service but then it would run under my login but as soon as I switched it to NAV service account, it would stop running. Even if that account is set to not expire, just re-enter the password and restart the service.

      Good luck!
      Meenakshi
