Real Life Experiences – GP to BC ERP Migrations

Session Overview: Not many people raise their hands to be the first to do most anything, but everyone benefits by looking at the experiences of those who went before us. The same is true of those earlier adopters who have already migrated from Dynamics GP to Business Central.
In this session, we’ll discuss real life project experiences with our customers who have migrated from Dynamics GP to Business Central. No name dropping, but we’ll review customer size, modules, team size and roles, project planning (estimated effort, sample timelines, milestones), migration planning (what data went over, what didn’t and why) and then we’ll discuss the results. Let’s talk about what went well and what could have gone better.
Knowledge is power. The more you know before you plan YOUR migration, the better your migration will be!
Learning Objectives:
- Your BC migration team – who should be on it and what role will they play
- Setting up your project plan – clear objectives, milestones and realistic timelines
- Data Re-Evaluation – Your COA will change; what else should you consider
