Highlights

Introduction and Speaker Backgrounds (00:43)

Wodicka shares his background, including his 17-year tenure at AIS. His work has centered on software engineering, cloud modernization, data architecture, AI, and security. Bhoyar discusses his four-year tenure at AIS. In his role as AI architect, he focuses on helping customers implement AI and automation using various tools and technologies.

Session Overview: Building AI Literacy (03:15)

“Building AI Literacy” will take place on the main stage on Tuesday, March 18. Bhoyar explains the need for a baseline level of education for non-technologists to understand core AI concepts and technologies. With the rise of GenAI, there’s been a lot of excitement, along with misconceptions. He talks about the need to understand terms like Copilot, agent, autonomous agent, and the principles behind these technologies.

Session Goals and Learning Objectives (05:01)

Wodicka discusses the session’s focus on sharing practical insights and lessons learned from client engagements and internal projects. He mentions that the session will not focus solely on demonstrating technology but will also cover the fundamental principles and subtle aspects of implementing GenAI.

Future Projections: Agent and Copilot Adoption (07:17)

Bhoyar predicts that by the end of the year, most clients will have at least one or two agents deployed in production. He notes that the technology has matured over the past two years, and there are now tools available for quick wins. Bhoyar also expects clients to have the groundwork done for more sophisticated agents or copilots by next year.

Client Engagements and Agent Development (08:43)

Smith inquires about the extent of agent rollouts and whether clients will develop their own agents or use off-the-shelf solutions. Wodicka explains that the session will define what is meant by agents and the progression of generative AI to help knowledge workers. Agents must work well together and not become adversarial. Wodicka discusses the need to manage the proliferation of agents as the technology and business outcomes evolve.
