I have a SharePoint list that has a column for button label and one for button action.Ā I used this list to create a collection and then the collection to create a gallery, including a button.Ā I set the text property to be the label and that works as expected.Ā However the onselect does not.Ā Nothing happens when I click the button.
I can create a standalone button and specifyĀ Launch(….)and that works fine.Ā If put that command in a list row/column then reference it in the button onselect as ThisIte.Action nothing happens when the button is clicked.Ā I also tried just the app ID in the list and the reset of the Launch command as string values in the onselect (I used & to combine the strings with ThisItem.Action in the correct place but also no luck).
The ThisItem.Action evaluates ok but it does not seem to be effective for a button onselect.Ā Does anyone know if onselect can take variables for a button?Ā Really destroys a great design approach I am trying to take.
Hi Larry, What is the content of ThisItem.Action? If it is a string with “Launch( . . . )” this will not work – you cannot dynamically specify commands like this.?
