I have clients who are used to the QlikView / QlikSense functionality whereby every selection made is carried over to all other objects in the same page AND same report.
Not having this fundamental capability means that my clients are not prepared to accept PowerBi as a viable replacement for Qlik.
I am struggling to understand why the developers of PowerBi never worked out that this report level dynamic selection capability is a make or break for the adoption of their solution. A ‘clear all’ function would also be most welcome——————————

Hello Hugh,Slicers work at page level and with combination of slicers, report level filter and visual interaction, manyĀ of theĀ QlikView / QlikSense functionality can be better done in Power BI in my opinion.
Are you talking about any specif feature which is inĀ QlikView / QlikSense and not in/can’t be done in Power BI? For example,Ā QlikView has drop-down built into a Table so we can search, filter and highlight theĀ rows but Power BI lacks this feature and also using multiple components
IĀ couldĀ not figure out a solution. The custom visual ‘Table Sorter’ could be a alternative but it can’t display more than 1000 row.AppreciateĀ if anyone can suggest a solution.
Thanks,

Prakash,Thanks for your feedback.
I am looking for a solution where I have many dimensions that need to work together at the page and report level. For example I need to reach specific data on a company by:
- select country in object 1
- select town in object 2
- select a number of the companies in object 3
- See the results in a table in object 4
I then want to go to another page where this selection is relevant and applied to all objects.

I agree.
I prefer Qlikview, Ā but, now a days, the price of PBI, is the best.——————————

I’m a developer for both BI’s, and of course, PBI can not have the same dynamism that qlikview have in its filters.——————————

There are multiple suggestions in “Power BI Ideas” (Power BI Ideas: Hot (6903 ideas) – Microsoft Power BI) I recommend everybody interested in this go in and vote in support of the best suggestions.——————————

Done, hopefully they will pay attention. This functionality is preventing the adoption of the product.——————————
