Our check stub is only displaying year-to-date deduction totals if there is an active deduction in the check.  If the employee did not have a withholding in that check, both the check stub and direct deposit earning statement are not displaying YTD totals.  Is there a setting in the company master setup, or somewhere else in payroll, which needs to be activated in order to allow the YTD deduction to display even if the withholding is zero?  I don’t want this to happen again.

In the payroll setup there is a setting to turn on the YTD totals on the pay stub.

Go to Setup > Payroll > Payroll and then click the Options button.  You will see the check boxes at the bottom of that screen to mark which codes you wish to include YTD amounts on the checks.
