Again, new computer (sigh). In the past, I used Macros and Mail Merge to enter cash receipts for some loan proceeds we receive. After doing the mail merge in word, I would save the document as a .txt file. Then in windows, I’d change the file extension to .mac in order to make it a macro file. Now, I have Windows 10 and within windows explorer the file extension is not included in the file name so i cannot change it from .txt to .mac. I tried simply typing .mac at the end but of course, this does not change the file type.

Anyone know how I can convert my mail merge document to a macro file so I can run it in GP?

Nevermind – I found the option to show the extensions. I just need a little patience 😉

Glad you found it so quickly Tiffany,
For those who are less tech savy or still wondering / or new  to Wi10. it’s as easy as 1-2-3-4 :

Switch to the tab ‘View’ and UnCheck the box ‘Hide extensions for known file types’
      Enjoy !

PS: you can save step 1 and click directly on the ‘View’ tab..
