Forgive me if I mis-speak here as I am still new to the inventory and manufacturing modules. Does anyone know if there is a way to have MOs be auto posted? My CFO currently receives notifications for every MO in the system on a regular basis and prints everyone out (6 pages each). Most of these never change yet she still has to approve them in order for them to be posted. We are wondering if there is a way for me to maintain a master list of all items that have been approved and for any item on the list, for it to auto post and not send a notification? She only wants to receive notifications on those that are not on the master list. Is there a way to do this – where it literally does auto post or is it more of a situation where I would have to manually post those she doesn’t want to see? Any and all thoughts on the topic are welcome.
Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen
Post Master from Envisage Software can handle auto posting of batches including MO batches. Auto-detection rules can be put in place to decide which batches should be posted, so your CFO will only have to review those of interest to her.
Send us your contact details via the website http://envisagesoftware.com/ and we will send you a trial version of the product.

I just wanted to chime in on PostMaster. We’ve been using it since January and love it! We have it post specific Receivings batches and SOP batches. The Receivings batches post as soon as the user submits the transaction, but we use approvals for the SOP batches. I’m the only person set up to receive email on failed postings, but you can set multiple email addresses.
We have 12 locations submitting Receivings entries and we post under the same 3 batch names multiple times a day. The only errors I get are if PostMaster tries to post while someone is submitting a transaction (which it goes ahead and posts after the user is done) and if the fiscal period has not been opened yet. Which are user issues, not software issues.
The SOP batches can have hundreds of entries and sometimes thousands of lines, so we schedule those to be posted at night.
We also liked the idea that we didn’t have to burn a user license for it to perform. It just works in the background with very little human intervention after initial setup. Just thought I’d let you know about it from a user’s viewpoint.
