We have a customer on still version 10 and they want to delete a note from a Journal Entry.  It is an OLE attachment.  It just puts us in a loop when we try to delete and it does not let us delete it. 
I click on the Paper clip and do Edit > Delete.  I click on the Delete button in the Notes window, it doesn’t make a difference. 
I’m thinking of having them delete the j.e. and start again, but would rather delete the note if possible because the j.e. is a long one.

If you delete the attached file with the Del key from the OLE container and save, does that work?

If there is now an empty container, or it failed to work, you can locate and delete the file from the OLENotes folders.

The easiest method is to update the file by adding or removing an attachment and then sort the folder by date to locate the just updated file so it can be deleted.

A more accurate by complex method involved getting the Note Index value from the Journal Entry and then converting it to the 8 character Hexadecimal value and deleting the file that matches the Hex characters.
