      5/1/17 we started getting a new message.

      Unhandled script exception:
      Could not load externa
      ‘RunCommandAndWait@RunCommandAndWait.dll’

      Error message.  When this pops up, and you don’t immediately click okay the Dynamics GP Session locks up.

      I haven’t been able to google this error to see if this is Dynamics or Windows related.

      Has anyone else seen this?

      Hi Dean,
      This doesn’t look like a standard library call from the GP client.. do you have any 3rd-party product that is installed ? check your Add-Ins folder in the GP program folder.. there might be a few .DLL files that could give you a hint..

      This appears to be a C++-related .dll.  You would probably want to check any 3rd-party products installed in addition to the good suggestions already made.  There should be something in Event Viewer which might provide additional information.
      Other than that, when presented with a strange error that shows up for everyone, I’d get everyone out of GP and replace the shared reports.dic.  That has saved me countless hours of debugging because as much as I’d like to know why something is broken, all the client wants is to get back in production.

      I would say you have a ISV product installed that is looking for the dll file

      RunCommandAndWait.dll

      Does it work on other workstations? Can you locate the file?
