Is it possible to exclude inventory with a Quantity Type of “Damaged” to be excluded from the “Available” quantity?

      Thomas,

According to the User Guide and a quick test, the damaged quantity is not and should not be part of the equation.

I set up an item and purchased 6 items. I then did a quantity type transfer of 1 to damaged. That left me with 5 on hand and 1 damaged.

I entered a sales order for 5 and had no problem.

I entered a sales order for 6 and got an availability issue.

Are you seeing that damaged is adding to the quantity available?

As Charles said, “Qty Available” should be “Qty On Hand” less “Qty Committed” and less “Qty Allocated”. GP skips all other types out of the equation.
