I moved a copy of our production GP databases into my test environment to run checklinks on Inventory. Once it finished, the report showed it had created new items in inventory. After digging through GP, I found these items were non-inventory items on RMAs and RTVs in Field Service.
Why did checklinks create new inventory items if these were non-inventory??
Am we stuck with them being in Item Master? I tried deleting one of them and received an error about the item is on documents or something like that. Can I just inactivate them instead?
Any advice or insight is appreciated.
Thanks. -Joe
