Our AR & AP Supervisor went to reprint an RM Posting Journal. She cleared out the parameters box; but instead of entering new parameters, she clicked Print. So GP started to reprint posting journals going back to the day we went live in 2013. She went into the Process Monitor to Suspend the report generation… but she couldn’t exit GP to attempt to terminate the process.
I had her kill her GP session in the Windows Task Manager. I then deleted her GP session and also logged her out of the Remote Desktop session on our Remote Desktop Server.
When she logged back into GP, the Process Monitor still shows the Reprint operation going strong.
My question: how do I kill it? If she clicks Suspend in this window, the Remove button is not enabled. I’m at a loss as to what to do to stop GP from churning away at these RM journal reprints. What am I missing?
Sincerely,

…and never mind! Turns out that when I killed the user’s session, the long-running process was killed. The screen shot that the user provided me actually showed the several new reports she’d requested. So we’re all good. Sorry for the false alarm.

Process Monitor is one of my favorite windows to show people – so they can see they already have something waiting to print before they click print 10 more times. 🙂
