We are planning to upgrade to GP2016 R2 and would also like to implement ePayables with our bank.

Has anyone had success with ePayables using the CTX format?  We want to use the detail line addenda option.

      Hi,

Yes GP all the way back to 2010 supports the CTX format.  In GP it is actually called NACHA PPD for “personal” payments and CCD for Corporate/Business payments.

You will have to work with your bank to get a detailed spec and make sure that it matches up exactly with what GP is doing.  There are some bugs/issues with the detail line addenda, but since you are looking at 2016R2, hopefully they have resolved most of that at this point.

Thank you.  We just received a message that there is still a bug related to the addenda count and we would only be able to pay one invoice per EFT.  That is not a viable solution for us.

That is unfortunate.   The bug has been around for a while so I am surprised they haven’t fixed it.

In the meantime you could just turn off the addenda detail and email them the remittance advice instead.   That is what we settled on in the last implementation I did (they were on GP 2013).

There is also a 3rd party solution called regal pay.  It bolts on top of GP and they take care of everything on their end instead of you having to use the GP EFT module.  They integrate with most banks directly without any customizations.

If you can live with 1 addenda line per payment, it is possible to emulate CTX on the CCD+ format by hard coding CTX into the map.
