I am trying to upgrade from GP 2013 R2 to GP 2016 R2. According to the upgrade path I need to be on GP 12.0.1826 or higher. I just applied the update from 1/27/2017 and my GP version now says 12.0.2150. When I run the GP Utilities it is giving me an error saying “Failure encountered ON 4/18/2017 at 7:32:17 AM. Error: Product 0 does not support upgrading from version 12.0.2150.” Does anyone know why this would be and what I need to do to be able to run the upgrade?
Thanks,

Have you downloaded the most recent release version/patch of 2016R2?

I had only installed the original version. I have downloaded the service pack but thought you had to start there and then upgrade. I will install the downloaded service pack and the try again.
I will let you know if that works.
Thanks,
