      Hello Everyone,
I was hoping to get some help from any Dexterity wizards out there.

We have a third party coded form that we need to populate the contents of a scrolling grid under certain conditions decided by a user viewing form.

Given my own lack of Dexterity experience it is easier to accomplish this task by using a GP Power Tools debugging trigger to add an additional menu option which in turn runs a pass-through SQL stored procedure call to populate the table that in turn is used for the scrolling grid. From there we close the window that is populated.

Ideally we would like it to then press the redisplay button on the parent form however after reading through the Dexterity reference there doesn’t seem to be an obvious way to simulate a button press other than logging the script calls for what the button does and then adding the entire code block.

This isn’t ideal as it means that if the scripts change between versions then the call would have to be updated accordingly.

Is there some sort of functionality to do inline macro’s in Dexterity or a suitable alternative to click a button programmatically?

      Thanks

      Hi Dustin

The run script <fieldname>; command will run the change script of a field.

So run script ‘Redisplay Button’ of window <WindowName> of form <FormName>; will do what you want.
