Currently, users don’t receive a password change notification, so if a user is working on a transaction, often the transaction will error, users have to logoff/logon to be prompted to change password, then correct transaction error. Is there a way to receive password notification to correct this issue? We use GP 2013.

Not while they are in GP. Usually this is a training thing when there AD password has to be changed they should change there GP password.

There is not a built in password notification system in GP. I would agree with Timothy about training end users to change password when AD password changes. Since this is not always the best/easiest solution, there are third party add-ins that can accomplish this for you. I have been using GP Power Tools (GPPT) for this functionality and much more. It is a rather inexpensive solution that is well worth the money.
