Hey Jonathan, thanks for your question. We have a similar situation where we produce medical sensors. These sensors are packaged into boxes of 10, and then those boxes are packaged into cases of 80. Due to quality and manufacturing process requirements for traceability to each box of 10 (per the FDA), we have to treat these as different production orders.

We batch produce individual sensors, and place them into inventory as finished goods. When an order comes in, we create another production order to package the sensors accordingly, and then ship them out.
